Setting Up Your Business Profile

Configure your business information, contact details, and preferences to personalize your website.

After creating your first site, you'll want to configure your business profile. This information appears throughout your website and helps customers contact you.

Business Information

Company Name

Your official business name as it appears on your license and signage. This will be displayed in the header, footer, and browser title.

Example: "Smith's Locksmith Services" or "Mike's HVAC Repair"

Tagline (Optional)

A short phrase describing what you do.

Examples:

  • "24/7 Emergency Locksmith Services"
  • "Your Trusted Local Plumber Since 2010"
  • "Licensed & Insured HVAC Professionals"

Upload your business logo. If you don't have one, your business name will display instead.

Recommended size: 200 x 80 pixels Formats: PNG (best for logos with transparency), JPG, or SVG

Contact Information

Phone Numbers

Primary Phone Your main business line. This appears in the header and on click-to-call buttons.

Emergency Line (Optional) If you have a separate number for after-hours emergencies, add it here.

Best Practices:

  • Use the number you actually answer
  • Consider a dedicated business line
  • Forward to mobile when you're in the field

Email Address

Where you want contact form submissions to go. Use your professional email (you@yourbusiness.com) rather than personal email if possible.

Physical Address

Your business address. If you work from home and don't want to display your home address, you can:

  • Use a PO Box
  • Use "Mobile Service - We Come to You"
  • Display just your city and state

Business Hours

Enter your regular business hours. Be accurate - nothing frustrates customers more than calling during "business hours" and not reaching anyone.

Options:

  • Standard hours (9 AM - 5 PM)
  • Extended hours
  • Different hours by day
  • 24/7 availability

Tip: If you offer 24/7 emergency service, highlight this prominently.

Service Areas

Adding Service Areas

List every city, town, and neighborhood you serve. Be thorough - this helps with local SEO.

Example for a Seattle-area plumber:

  • Seattle
  • Bellevue
  • Kirkland
  • Redmond
  • Renton
  • Kent
  • Auburn

Creating Service Area Pages

For best local SEO results, create a dedicated page for each major city you serve. This helps you rank when someone searches "[service] in [city]".

Go to Pages > Add Page > Service Area Page to create one.

Credentials & Trust Signals

Licenses

Display your professional licenses. Include:

  • State contractor's license
  • City business license
  • Trade-specific licenses (locksmith, HVAC, electrical)

Format: Include license numbers for customers to verify.

Insurance

Mention that you're bonded and insured. You don't need to display policy numbers, just the confirmation.

Certifications

List relevant certifications:

  • ALOA (Associated Locksmiths of America)
  • EPA 608 (for HVAC)
  • NATE (HVAC technicians)
  • Master Plumber certification

If you've been operating for several years, highlight this.

Connect your social profiles:

  • Facebook Business Page
  • Google Business Profile
  • Yelp Business Page
  • NextDoor
  • Instagram (if you post work photos)

Payment Methods

Indicate what payment methods you accept:

  • Cash
  • Check
